I know most everyone owns a toothbrush, right? We all need them.
But what makes one better than another?
Is it the bristle strength, the flexibility of the head, the rubber grips, or the scrubby thing on the back specially designed just for your tongue that determines the better toothbrush?
Maybe it’s just “The Man” trying to get more of our money. Or maybe the Dentist’s want a variety of toothbrushes to hand out to us when we visit. Or maybe one really is better than the other.
One thing is for certain, people are adamant about their toothbrushes. I know I was, I stuck with what was comfortable and familiar.
They get the job done and we aren’t running around with a yuck-mouth so, it must be good enough, right?
And if it’s good enough, why change?

Anytime we start accepting “good enough” we start becoming complacent with where we are in life and where we want to go.

When we start settling for less than great, then we are actually delaying our true success. We are avoiding the greatness we have to share with everyone around us.
Living for just ‘good enough’ is no better than living in mediocrity. We become complacent with ‘good enough’.
Here’s a good definition of complacency:
complacency: “self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies.”
Being great is simply not accepting that kind of “unawareness” in life or business.
That’s exactly the kind of mindset I’ve taught and lived for over 15 years now and I’ve got to tell you, it’s a heck of lot better than just going for good.
